EXHIBITORS INFORMATION General information During the ESPE conferences, many very top theoretical and applied economists and econometricians from around the world meet to discuss the latest advances in the field of population economics. Participants at the Conference present research about: human capital and labour economics, gender issues, aging and social security, population and economic growth, domestic and international migration, income distribution and redistribution within and between generations, changing age structure and public housing, intrahousehold distribution and intergenerational transfers, population growth and technical progress, or population and the environment. About ESPE The European Society for Population Economics was founded in 1986 and was created in order to facilitate communication and exchange between researchers in different European countries, as well as with scientists from other parts of the world. Equal emphasis is given to theoretical and applied research focusing on the role played by human capital and demographic variables in economics. ESPE 2005 took place in Paris at the Cité Universitaire, June 16-18. Catherine Sofer together with Olivia Ekert-Jaffé were the local organizers, Patricia Apps from Sydney was the programme chairperson. ESPE 2004 took place in Bergen, Norway, June 10-12. Alf Erling Risa was the local organizer, Christoph M. Schmidt from RWI Essen was the programme chairman. ESPE 2003 took place at New York University on Washington Square in NYC, June 13-15. The 2006 ESPE Conference The Twentieth Annual Conference will take place on June 22-24, 2006, at the University of Verona, Italy. We expect to host 250 participants from around the world. Barry Chiswick (University of Illinois at Chicago, USA) will serve as the programme chair, Federico Perali as the local organizer. Extensive daily programme includes invited keynote speakers and concurrent sessions. The conference is expected to attract substantial media coverage. There will be plenty of networking opportunities during refreshment breaks, lunches and during the evening social events, which include Osterias' Tour, Jazz at the Roman Theater, Gala Dinner at Palazzo Verità Poeta, Opera in Arena: Cavalleria Rusticana from Mascagni and Pagliacci from Leoncavallo. We will provide exhibition opportunities to commercial and academic publishers. The Exhibition will be hosted in the conference site, Palazzo della Gran Guardia at Piazza Brà in front of the Arena of Verona. Have a look at the: Gran Guardia building. See auditorium and plan. The area will also be the main point for catering, meeting and networking for delegates and as such there will be a guaranteed and constant presence of participants. Cost of entry: Organisations: € 400 + VAT. Inclusions: - Table top exhibition space; - Draped trestle table and two chairs; - Two exhibitor passes for the duration of the Conference (not including entry to sessions or external receptions); - Listing on the ESPE conference website (and link to own website); - Listing in the conference programme. Exhibitors are permitted to bring poster boards, pull up banners and other display material to put up behind their tables provided it fits within the allocated space. Liability and Security Exhibitors are reminded that they must have a valid insurance covering themselves and their personnel in the event of damage or loss to their exhibits, equipment and exhibition material. Each exhibitor must make provisions for safeguarding their goods, materials, equipment and display at all times. The Conference and the University of Verona will take no responsibility for damage or loss of material belonging to your exhibition.
